Set Review ➟ LEGO® 75376 - Tantive IV

If the previous review was about an iconic ship of the dark side, this time we will do it about the mother ship of "the rebel rabble", as Darth Vader used to say. The Tantive IV. A set with 654 pieces, a cost of 79,99€ and a recommended age of 18 years and older.

Comparing the display base of this set with the previous one, we find that there are some variations such as the location of the commemorative brick that now goes on the base and not outside it. The non-repetition of these construction steps is appreciated. Well, the contents are presented in this way. Seven bags, manual, 4 plates of 2x16 in LBG colour and a sticker sheet.

There's hardly anything remarkable about the beginning, but I have to admit that I love these little nods. Leia, R2-D2 and C-3PO - can anyone say otherwise? :D

The best part of the following pages is the end. The characteristic nose of the Tantive IV. Here you can see how it is implemented.

Next we move to the other end of the ship and start building the thrusters. The structure with technic bricks and overlapped with plates with some greebling is very very good. The model is starting to be bigger than expected.

In the next building block we will put some more parts on the ship but we will focus on raising another level on the propulsion engines. This level in its implementation is not repeated with the previous one so it is more enriching. The non-repetitiveness in the construction is appreciated and even more so in small sets.

Well, if I make the comment before I have to retract it, I have to retract it! In this section the lower part of the propellers is made and it is exactly the same as the previous one except for 2 parts.

Last bag and we found a new mould :). It looks quite interesting. A mix between a 2x2 square inverted tile and a 2L bar with a central top.

In this last construction line, some shapes are placed under the ship and we reach the area where the escape pods are located. This is where the new reference is used. It is interesting and raises the question of its creation: was it impossible to generate this inclination without this new piece? Call me a purist if you want, I'm not. Just as in the world of computer programming a piece of new code can bring a lot in different areas, so can a new reference.

They have also detailed the lack of one of the exhaust capsules ;). Well, here is the finished model. It looks fantastic really, and it's quite big! I admit that the size on the box of the set completely fooled me.

One of the sensations when playing the model is its robustness and the detail it exudes. It is really beautiful. It's a pity that those few stickers it comes with are not printed on the pieces, it's the only thing I miss. It's another model that, like the Invisible hand or the Executor Super Star Destroyer, has opened an impossible to exhaust ban, moreover... With the infinite number of existing ships in the Star Wars universe... We don't want to run out, we want more! We thank LEGO for sending this set for review in this article, but LEGO does not endorse or support the opinions expressed in this article in any way.
